Overview

This walk, completed pre web site walking journal days in 2002 was actually done from Keswick Town Centre, however the route depicted above is from the

tourist track that starts from Gale Road. Suitable for push chairs and young children alike is probably the easiest route of completing a Wainwright summit

that there can be out of all the 214. The pictures taken from this walk where from January 2019 after an aborted attempt to climb Mungrisedale Common due

to bad weather conditions

An angry looking sky as we start off down the path from the Car Park. The manufactured path provides even walking all the way round to the top

There is even a bench should you require to rest up a little before progressing on to the summit. Its very windy here as you can tell

As you swing round to the summit there are fine views to be had over Keswick and Derwent Water

The actual summit was too crowded to tuck in to lunch so we chose this point just yards away

Skiddaw to the North

Blencathra to the East

Through the rain clouds Cat Bells and Grisedale Pike

Jones the Bastard as ever in hope of cadging some dinner

Sue and Ste on the summit

Ok Jones we are going back down now !!
