Walk Overview

The first day of our week long stay in Ambleside and after the unpack and Grocery shop we seized the opportunity of a quick walk whilst the

weather was dry. High Rigg is an excellent small fell to introduce to novice fell walkers and offers fantastic views out towards Keswick

Strange light over Bassenthwaite Lake. We stayed on top for about 30 minutes just admiring the views and watching the changing mid
evening light. Unfortunately this gave way to rain showers which was to be the feature of the week
