Walk Overview

A straightforward circular walk with good paths throughout. A steep pull up
right at the very start of the walk from off the Woodland Fell Road but no
navigational issues or exposures

The car park at the side of the Fell road

Along the A5092 just before Beanthwaite, take a road branching off to the right
(the Woodland Fell Road) and travel just slightly over 2 miles and a number of
small laybys allow free parking for a few vehicles

Setting off for Tottlebank Heights

We now set off for Tottlebank Heights. The wide grass path is easy to follow
and approaches the summit from the ridgeline seen to the left

The path heads towards a broken five bar gate

The track from the summit down to the return path is a little confusing initially
as there are several obvious tracks to chose from. The aim is to take the least
obvious track that heads in the general direction of Caw (in the far distance)

There is a slight drop to negotiate to get on the main path
