Walk Overview
A very easy and pleasant walk from the Scout Scar car park just off
the Underbarrow Road. A popular route for dog walkers, good path throughout
and some great views from the fine cairn on the summit
The walk starts from the Scout Scar car park off the Underbarrow Road. Its free
and there is plenty of parking spaces available
The parking area
Out of the car park turn left and a path emerges immediatel on the left that
cuts through a small wooded area
The path through the woods leads past an old communication mast

The path leads to a handgate at the bottom end of the wooded area
Through the handgate on to open pasture and follow a well defined track
Setting out on the track which follows the length of the stone wall on the left
Turn left at the end of the wall
The path follows the wall and undulates gently
The path leads to a gate in the wall
Through the gate and slightly further on take the right hand fork in the path
Pretty soon the summit cairn (a large pile of stones) comes into view
