Walk Overview

A walk that can be made as easy or hard as you wish dependant on the chosen
route of ascent. This blog describes the easiest way up to a small summit with
wonderful views

The car park at the start of the walk


The walk starts at the free car park on Fell Foot Brow near to the start of
the walk up to Gummers How. There is probably space for around 30 cars

Turn right out of the car park and follow the main road upwards past Gummers How

The right turn off the road


After about a quarter of a mile or so watch out for a right turn junction

Turn right at the junction

The Howgill Fells

Take the right turn


After about a third of a mile take a right turn through a gate and follow
the forestry path

Starting off along the forestry track. This is good walking

Turn right at the Y junction


Upon reaching a "Y" junction, take the right hand fork

Look out on the right for a dirt track that cuts up steeply through the wooded area
